Comment
Bochnia is known for its salt mine, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was established between the 12th and 13th centuries when salt had been discovered and became part of the company żupy krakowskie (Kraków Salt Works). In 1990, the mine no longer produced salt, and it became a tourist destination many people come to see each year.

Interesting fact
The 2 Zlotys (Bochnia) 2006 coin from Poland is made of Nordic gold, which is a unique alloy that is resistant to corrosion and has a distinctive color. Nordic gold is not actually a specific type of gold, but rather a blend of gold, silver, and copper that is used to create a gold-colored alloy with a slightly different hue than traditional gold. The use of Nordic gold in this coin adds to its unique character and makes it stand out from other coins.
