* This coin was issued by the revolutionary Provisional Government of South Vietnam, which ruled South Vietnam from defeat to North Vietnam in April 1975 until unification in July 1976.

* Two variants known.
- The 1st one: The petals thicker
- The 2nd one: The petals thinner.

Interesting fact

The 2 Xu coin from South Vietnam was designed by artist Nguyễn Văn Thiện and features a portrait of Hồ Chí Minh, the former president of North Vietnam, on the obverse side. The reverse side of the coin features the national emblem of South Vietnam, which includes a dragon and a phoenix, symbolizing the country's rich cultural heritage.
