Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 2 Thalers coin from the Landgraviate of Upper Alsace is that it features a unique design element - a small shield with the initials "RF" (Rudolf Füchs) stamped on the reverse side of the coin. This shield was added to the coin's design to indicate that it was minted during the reign of Rudolf II, who was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1576 to 1612. The inclusion of this shield helps to distinguish the coin from other coins minted during the same period and adds to its historical significance.
