Interesting fact

The 2 Stivers coin from the City of Breda features a unique design that reflects the city's history and culture. On one side of the coin, there is an image of a castle, which represents the city's fortifications and its role as a strategic stronghold during the Dutch Revolt. On the other side, there is an image of a lion, which symbolizes the city's strength and courage. The coin's design was created by the Dutch artist and engraver, Joost van den Vondel, who was known for his work on various coins and medals during the 17th century.
