Comment
TYPE 1) Only the lower right part of King's halfbust (near chest) touch cartouche. Mintmarks are at same level of middle line of legend in cartouche. Danish arms are in center with all cross arms visible, and have a lot of spikes and curls but small.TYPE 2) King's halfbust touches the cartouche. In reverse central Danish arms bigger than Type 1 so vertical cross arms are poorly visible. Date numbers bigger.
TYPE 3) Bigger cartouche with wide legend and smaller king's bust. In reverse the lower arm of cross behind Danish arms is very thin or missing, so central shield touches the lower provincial arms. Central shield has also a complex ornaments. All the coin has a lower details, quite crude.
TYPE 4) Smaller cartouche with bigger letters. Above the bust is bigger than type 3, but of a different type than #1; more King's bust is moved to the left relative to the position of the busts in other types (for this reason the motto ends far from clover mintmark). Danish arms are of medium size and have two curls above and below and a small ornaments at sides.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 2 Speciedaler coin from Denmark, minted between 1624 and 1634, is that it features an oval shield with the coat of arms of the provinces of Denmark, which was a unique design element for coins during that time period.
