Interesting fact
The 2 Skilling coin from Norway, issued during the reign of Christian VII (1778-1788), features an interesting design element - a small hole in the center of the coin. This hole was intentionally added to the coin to make it easier for people to thread a string or cord through it, allowing them to wear the coin as a pendant or amulet. This unique feature was a common practice in Scandinavian countries during that time period, and it adds an extra layer of cultural significance to the coin.
