Comment

The old currency system of siam was binary, making it difficult to do accointing. Later, it became three unit accounting, which use Chang, Baht and Att as units; 64 Att to 1 Baht and 80 Baht to 1 Chang. However, it is still considered complicate.
The minister of treasury then suggest King Rama V to decimalize the currency to make accounting easier and to modernize it, as many countries around the world also use decimal currencies.
There hadbeen many problems even before the coins were issued, as the word "Anachak" were misspelled (✕ อานาจักร 〇 อาณาจักร). King Rama V also stated that it should be "Siam Ratcha-Anachak" (สยามราชอาณาจักร; Kingdom of Siam) as the most correct word. The decimal coins were not popular, as people were not familiar about the new monetary system, they faded quickly from circulation, and the government still had to produce coins of the old system until RS127/BE2451/AD1907.
The coins are demonetized at the same time of demonetizing pre-decimal coins; they stopped being legal tender since May 17th, RS128/BE2452/AD1909. They could be exchanged for new decimal currency until May 16th, RS128/BE2452/AD1910.
