Interesting fact
The 2 Royaliner coin from Danish India, minted in 1731 during the reign of Christian VI, was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a unique design element - a small hole in the center of the coin. This hole was known as the "eye of the coin" and was intended to make it easier for people to string the coins together when using them as currency. This design feature was a precursor to the modern-day practice of punching holes in coins to make them easier to handle and store.
