September 22 [October 4 New Style] 1872) — Russian writer, lexicographer, ethnographer, corresponding Member of Petersburg Academy of Sciences. He created «The Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language» and the collecting book «Proverbs of Russian People» as well.
