The Nikolay Raevsky coin was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nikolay Raevsky, a Russian military leader and hero of the Napoleonic Wars. The coin features an image of Raevsky on one side and the Russian coat of arms on the other. It's interesting to note that Raevsky was known for his bravery and leadership during the Battle of Borodino, which was a major turning point in the Napoleonic Wars.
