Comment

This coin has been struck on a 1 riksdaler coin but with double thickness.
It has traditionally been considered to be in memory of the 1726/27 parliamentary year, but it may also have been in memory of the travel abroad the king was planning in 1727, later postponed until 1731.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 2 Riksdaler coin from Sweden, minted in 1727, is that it features a unique double portrait of King Frederick I and his wife, Queen Ulrika Eleonora, on its obverse side. This double portrait was a deliberate design choice, as the king and queen were known to have a strong and loving relationship, and the coin's designer wanted to commemorate their bond on the currency. This coin is a rare and valuable collector's item, not only for its historical significance but also for its aesthetic appeal.
