Interesting fact
The 2 Reales coin from Bolivia, minted during the reign of Philip II (1574-1579), features an interesting design element - the presence of a small cross above the shield on the obverse side. This cross is known as the "Cross of the Order of the Golden Spur," which was a prestigious order of knighthood established by the Spanish monarchs. The inclusion of this cross on the coin signifies the connection between the Spanish colonial empire and the Catholic Church, and highlights the religious significance of the coin.
