COMMEMORATIVE CURRENCY OF THE CENTENARY OF THE 14 BIS FLIGHTIn 1906, a Brazilian with a stubborn spirit and genial ideas was carrying out a historic feat in Paris that would diminish the distances between peoples, revolutionizing the way people would get around: the 14 Bis plane flight, idealized and carried out by Alberto Santos Dumont.
On October 23, 2006, we celebrated the centennial of this milestone in the history of world aviation. And the Central Bank of Brazil, to register and celebrate this event, launched silver coin commemorating the Centennial of Flight 14-Bis.
