The sixth design in the Chinese Lunar Year - Shēngxiào Collection, there were several different strikes for the Year of the Pig with varying compositions and denominations which all share Harry Brockway's design.The proof strike has plain fields while the bullion issues have a guilloche background design alongside an additional legend with the weight and fineness on the reverse.
Interesting fact
The Year of the Pig coin is part of a series of coins released by the Royal Mint to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. The series started in 2014 and features a different animal each year, according to the Chinese zodiac. The pig is the twelfth animal in the zodiac and is considered a symbol of good fortune and prosperity in Chinese culture.
