Comment

This coin was produced with both the 4th and 5th portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, only the 5th portrait was released into general circulation apart from 100 BU 4th portrait pieces which were put in the tills of the gift shop on HMS Belfast. The 4th portrait was released as part of the 2015 Annual sets in both Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof quality. Individual BU packs were also issued with sales of 39,009. The design was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique reversible design, meaning the coin has two distinct sides that can be considered the front or back of the coin, depending on how it is oriented. This feature was implemented to symbolize the dual nature of the Royal Navy's role, both in times of peace and war.
