The coin was issued as part of the Annual Commemorative Proof (7,500 issue limit), Premium Commemorative Proof (2,750 issue limit) and Brilliant Uncirculated Commemorative sets for 2023, as well as individually in a BU pack (sales unknown) and a coin and stamp cover (issue limit: 10,000, sales unknown). The design was also struck in coloured bimetallic copper-nickel & nickel brass, silver proof, coloured silver proof, silver piedfort, coloured silver proof and gold proof.© The Royal Mint, 2023
Interesting fact
The Flying Scotsman Centenary coin features an image of the iconic locomotive on the reverse side, designed by Stephen Raw, while the obverse side bears an effigy of King Charles III, designed by Jody Clark.
