The year 1845 struck in Düsseldorf does not exist (Olding p. 134)Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Frederick William IV, who was the King of Prussia from 1840 until his death in 1861. However, the coin was actually minted during a time when Frederick William IV was still the Crown Prince of Prussia, which was before he ascended to the throne. This means that the coin was minted before Frederick William IV actually became the king, which makes it a unique and interesting piece of history.
