Comment
The 1619 and 1623 issues both share the same designs and can only be distinguished through their weights. Due to a range of factors such as mint error, wear and corrosion, it will be impossible to conclusively determine which issue a particular specimen belongs to.See 'The Scottish Post-Union Copper Coinage of James VI: New Evidence', The British Numismatic Journal Volume 91 (2021) by Cameron Maclean for more information.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 2 Pence coin from Scotland, issued during the reign of James VI (1619-1623), is that it features a unique design element - a thistle, which is a symbol of Scotland, on the reverse side of the coin. This design was introduced during James' reign and was meant to represent the unity between Scotland and England, as James was also the King of England at the time. The thistle has since become a common motif on Scottish coins and is still used on some modern Scottish coins today.
