Interesting fact
The Pattern 2½ Pahlavi coin was designed by the renowned French engraver and sculptor, Albert Decaris, who was also responsible for designing several other coins and stamps for Iran during the Pahlavi dynasty. Decaris' design features a portrait of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, on the obverse, and a stylized representation of the Iranian crown on the reverse. The coin was minted in bronze and has a distinctive patterned edge. Despite being a pattern coin, it was never officially issued or circulated, making it a rare and sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
