Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Lire coin was designed by Italian sculptor and engraver, Giuseppe Romagnoli, and features a portrait of Victor Emmanuel III on the obverse side, while the reverse side depicts the Italian coat of arms. What makes this coin particularly interesting is that it was minted as a trial strike, meaning that it was produced in a very limited quantity and was not intended for circulation. As a result, it is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among numismatists.
