Comment
Wolfgang-Guillaume (Wilhelm) of Palatinate-Neuburg, born on November 4, 1578 in Neuburg-on-the-Danube and died on March 20, 1653 in Düsseldorf, is a German prince of the great family of Wittelsbach. He was the son of Philip Louis of Neuburg (1547-1614), count palatine, duke of Neuburg, and Anne of Cleves (1552-1632). He received part of the Juliers-Clèves-Berg inheritance and was one of the few Protestant princes to convert to Catholicism.Interesting fact
The 2 Kreuzers coin from the Duchy of Palatinate-Neuburg, minted during the reign of Wolfgang William (1623-1634), features an interesting design element - a stylized depiction of a lion on the reverse side, which was a symbol of the Palatinate region.
