Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Jiao coin was designed by a Japanese artist named Taro Asakura, who was commissioned by the Republic of China government to create a new currency design. The coin features a portrait of a smiling Buddha on one side and a traditional Chinese dragon on the other. The design was meant to symbolize good luck and prosperity for the new Republic of China.
