Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Jiao coin was designed to commemorate the Canton Martyrs, a group of Chinese nationalists who fought against foreign imperialism and were killed in the Canton Uprising of 1927. The coin features an image of a martyr on one side and the Chinese characters for "Canton Martyrs" on the other. It was minted in 1928 in the Fukien Province, which is now known as Fujian Province, and was made of brass. This coin is considered a rare and valuable collector's item, and its design and history make it a significant piece of Chinese numismatic history.
