The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of birth of a renowned Ukrainian authoress, one of the most educated women of the 19th century who fought for the women's rights and, by means of her works, according to Dmytro Pavlychko's statement, "created an entire encyclopedia of the feminine soul". Olha Yulianivna KOBYLIANSKA is an impressive figure in the Ukrainian prose, astute psychologistic writer, artist of a lyrically romantic turn of mind whose artistic legacy has enriched the spiritual treasury of our people.
