The coin is dedicated to 160th anniversary of Mykola Lysenko, an outstanding Ukrainian composer, founder of the Ukrainian classic music, pianist, pedagogue, chorus conductor, public figure and ethnographer who was born in Hrynki village of Poltava region. The composer's creative work is of great importance for the Ukrainian music. He is the author of 9 operas (Natalka Poltavka, Taras Bulba, Oneida, Christmas night, Drowned woman, Naughty nanny-goat etc.) and of numerous works.
