The coin is dedicated to 200 Years since the birth of Mykhailo Ostrohradskiy (24.09.1801-01.01.1862), an outstanding Ukrainian scientist-mathematician, a member of five Academies (Paris, St-Petersburg, Rome, Turin and USA) who was born in Pashenivka villiage of Poltava region. His main works are dedicated to mathematical analysis, theoretical mechanics and mathematical physics.Interesting fact
