The coin is dedicated to the birth centenary of Borys Romanovych Hmyria, bass singer, who rose to eminence in his performance. Working as a soloist in Kharkiv (1936) and Kyiv (1939-1957) opera and ballet theatres he contributed to the world treasury of masterly performance over 600 romances, 39 opera parts, 85 fragments from vocal -stage and symphonic compositions. Borys Hmyria was given the rank of the People's artist of the USSR (1951) and became a winner of the USSR State prize.Interesting fact
