Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 2½ Gulden - Juliana 1959-1966 coin from the Netherlands is that it was designed by Dutch artist and sculptor, Jo Uiterwaal. The coin features an image of Queen Juliana on the obverse side, while the reverse side depicts the Dutch coat of arms. Uiterwaal's design was chosen as the winner of a competition held by the Dutch Ministry of Finance in 1956, and it was used on the 2½ Gulden coin until 1966, when the coin was discontinued.
