Interesting fact

The 2 Francs 1944 coin was minted during the German occupation of France during World War II. The coin features the profile of Marianne, the symbol of the French Republic, on the obverse side, and the value and year on the reverse side. What's interesting is that the coin was minted using brass, which was a substitute for the traditional silver or gold coins due to the wartime shortages of precious metals. This makes the 2 Francs 1944 coin a unique and interesting piece of numismatic history.
