Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Forint coin was designed by the Hungarian sculptor and medalist, Andor Gémes. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of Lajos Kossuth, a prominent Hungarian politician and leader of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. The reverse of the coin features the Hungarian coat of arms and the denomination. The coin was minted in 1950-1952 as a trial strike, and only a limited number of coins were produced. It is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among numismatists.
