Comment

A Roman historian who lived between the 1st century BC and year 17 AD, Titus Livius wrote "Ab urbe condita libri" (Books from the foundation of the city), the most important history of Rome from its origins to the age of Augustus.
This extended work, which Livius devoted his whole life to, is a real epic of the Romans based on various historiographic sources and deliberately written in a narrative and emphatic style.

Interesting fact

The Titus Livius 2 Euro coin was issued to commemorate the 2,000th anniversary of the birth of Titus Livy, a famous Roman historian who wrote a comprehensive history of Rome, known as "Ab Urbe Condita Libri" (Books from the Foundation of the City). The coin features an image of Titus Livy on one side and the Roman Colosseum on the other. It was minted in 2017 and has a unique bimetallic design, with a nickel brass clad nickel center in a copper-nickel ring, weighing 8.50 grams.
