Comment

The issue consists of 1,000,000 coins, of which 7,000 coins outstanding (proof) state arranged in boxes, 13,000 coins brilliant uncirculated condition placed in capsules, 15,000 were placed in a year sets, and 965,000 uncirculated coins situation in rolls of 25 pieces.

The design was chosen out of a shortlist of five by members of the public across the European Union voting online. It was created by George Stamatopoulos, a sculptor from the Minting department at the Bank of Greece.
