Dimitri Mitropoulos (1896-1960) was a significant composer, pianist and one of the greatest orchestra conductors of the 20th century. His long tenure as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic and the worldwide acclaim that he won established him as a prominent figure in the arts scene of modern Greece.The coin was issued in bankrolls, in Proof quality in box with certificate of authenticity and in BU quality on a coincard blister.
