Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design that showcases the state of Hesse in Germany. The coin's obverse side features a stylized image of the Hesse state coat of arms, which includes a lion and a griffin, while the reverse side features a panoramic view of the state's capital city, Wiesbaden. This design was created by German artist, Helmut Andexlinger, and it was minted by the German Federal Mint, also known as the Bundesdruckerei.
