Comment
The Penny Privy and the Florin Privy are part of 1999 2oz Kookaburra Proof Coin Glamour 4 Coins Privy Set and are proof coins. The Half Penny Privy and the Shilling Privy are Specimen coins and have a different reverse design.(Two kookaburras on a branch, note: not back to back but looking in the same direction with a gap between them.)
The coins from the set were also available in individual packaging.
Proof coins without privy marks were available individually and in sets. For example, the 2 Oz Proof set contained a 2 ounce coin and a 1 ounce coin of the same design.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique privy mark of a kookaburra, which is a small bird native to Australia, on the reverse side of the coin. This privy mark was added to the coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of King George V, who was the grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II. The kookaburra is a symbol of Australia and is known for its distinctive laughter-like call, which is often heard in the country's forests and woodlands. The inclusion of this privy mark on the coin makes it a unique and collectible item for coin enthusiasts.
