Note that the Maximum mintage of the proof version of this coin was set at 800 but if you add up the Declared mintage the sum is 821. There may be some revision of mintage numbers at a later date. I am using the reports from the Perth Mint dated 28 November 2012.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 2003-2004 Australian Kookaburra 2 Dollar coin is that it features a unique reverse design, showcasing a Kookaburra perched on a tree branch, surrounded by leaves and a crescent moon. The design was created by Australian artist, Natasha Muhl, and it's the first time a Kookaburra has been featured on an Australian coin.
