NOTE: According 2019 Standard Catalog of World Coins, 2001-Date, 13th Edition:KM#460 Face value "1 Diner" - Year 2012 - NO image - Subject "Padre Pio, 125th Anniversary of Birth"
The year, description and all the technical data of the coin coincide with the one on this page, so we can understand that the face value is an error by Krause (there is already a 2012 1 Diner coin of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina and it is KM # 459), so it is logical to assign KM#460 to the 2 Diners coin on this page.
Padre Pio, also known as Saint Pius of Pietrelcina (25 May 1887 – 23 September 1968), was an Italian Franciscan Capuchin, friar, priest, stigmatist, and mystic, now venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. Born Francesco Forgione, he was given the name of Pius (Italian: Pio) when he joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.
Interesting fact
The 2 Diners (Saint Pio of Pietrelcina) 2012 gold coin features an image of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, an Italian Catholic priest who was known for his piety and charity work. He was canonized as a saint in 2004, and this coin was issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death. The coin's design also includes the coat of arms of the Pope, Benedict XVI, who was the Pope at the time of the coin's issuance.
