The mintmark "A" is on reverse, below the ribbon of the wreath, except on 1924 issue, minted at Poissy; mint uses a thunderbolt mintmark, placed below value and above ribbon, and on 1941 issue, minted at Santiago de Chile minthouse, mintmark is placed on top, between both points of wreath.

Interesting fact

The 2 Centésimos coin from Uruguay, made of Copper-nickel, was used as a circulating coin from 1901 to 1941. That's quite a long time for a coin to be in circulation!
