Interesting fact
The 2 Centimes coin from Haiti was designed by the French engraver, Jean-Baptiste Mercier, who also designed several other coins for Haiti during the late 19th century. Mercier's design features a portrait of a young woman representing Haiti, surrounded by palm trees and other tropical foliage. The coin's obverse side bears the inscription "République d'Haïti" (Republic of Haiti) and the date of issue, while the reverse side features the coin's denomination and the country's national motto, "L'Union Fait la Force" (Unity Makes Strength). I hope you find this information interesting and helpful!
