Interesting fact
The 2 Centavos coin from Angola was designed by the Portuguese artist, António de Sousa. He was a well-known sculptor and engraver who also designed several other coins for Portugal and its colonies. The coin features a portrait of King Manuel II of Portugal on one side and an image of a crowned shield with the coat of arms of Angola on the other. The coin was minted in 1921 and was used as a standard circulation coin in Angola until it was replaced by a newer design in the 1950s. Today, the coin is a sought-after collector's item among numismatists and can be found in auctions and online marketplaces.
