This type is only known by patterns.Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Cash coin was designed by a French engraver named Charles Moreau, who was hired by the Chinese government to create a new currency for the country. Moreau's design featured a dragon on one side and a phoenix on the other, which were meant to symbolize the balance and harmony of yin and yang in Chinese culture. The coin was never officially released into circulation, but a small number of pattern coins were produced as samples. Today, these coins are highly sought after by collectors and are considered to be an important piece of Chinese numismatic history.
