Comment

First issued September 26th, BE2548/AD2005. Because of the confusion between 1 Baht coins and 2 Baht coins due to the size and color, the issued number of the coin dated BE2550/AD2007 was the lowest among the dates. (not included 2009, which is still the mysterious date among Thai collectors.) The metal of 2 Baht coins later changed to .

While BE2550/AD2007 is listed as having the highest mintage, it appears to be the most difficult date to find. It is also absent from BE2550/AD2007 Mint sets.
As well, BE2549/AD2006 is, by far, the easiest to find. A possible theory is that there were, in fact, 232_105_100 coins struck in 2007, but the majority were actually dated 2006.

Data in http://www.coinscan.com/for/tha.html written that all coins of this type was minted by Royal Canadian mint.

There is a video showing picture of 2 Baht 2550 struck on Aluminium bronze planchet.

Interesting fact

The 2 Baht coin from Thailand, issued between 2005 and 2007, features an image of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) on one side and the Thai numeral "2" on the other. This coin is interesting because it was produced during a time of significant economic growth and development in Thailand, and its design reflects the country's rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the use of nickel-plated steel in its production makes it a durable and long-lasting coin that has withstood the test of time.
