Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features the image of a woman, believed to be the goddess Athena, wearing a helmet and holding a spear and a shield. The reverse (back) side of the coin features the image of a dolphin, which was a symbol of the Roman province of Asia Minor, where the coin was minted. The coin's design and imagery suggest that it was used as a means of payment and trade in the region during the Roman Empire.
