Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Token 18 Pence (Bank Token) 1813 from Jersey (British Crown dependencies) made of Silver (.891) weighing 6.45 g is that it was issued during a time when there was a shortage of official currency in Jersey, and private tokens like this one were used as a substitute for official currency. This token was issued by a local bank and was accepted as legal tender in Jersey.
