Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of Anaxilas, who was a prominent ruler of Ephesos during the Hellenistic period. The reverse (back) side of the coin depicts a lion attacking a stag, which was a common motif in ancient Greek coinage and symbolized the power and strength of the city-state.
