Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a helmeted head of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts. The helmet is decorated with a spiral motif, which was a common feature of ancient Greek helmets. The reverse (back) side of the coin shows a quadriga (a four-horse chariot) driven by a charioteer, which was a popular motif in ancient Greek art and symbolized the power and prestige of the city-state of Klazomenai.
