Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a depiction of a horned god, possibly Dionysus, which was a common deity in ancient Greek mythology. The reverse (back) side of the coin features a quadripartite incuse, which means it has four equally spaced square indentations. This design was commonly used on ancient Greek coins to prevent counterfeiting. It's interesting to note that the coin was minted during the Hellenistic period, which was a time of significant cultural and economic change in the ancient Greek world. The use of bronze as the material for the coin also speaks to the resourcefulness and practicality of the ancient Greeks, who often used readily available materials for their currency.
