Interesting fact
The 160 Réis - Pedro II 1833 coin from Brazil was designed by renowned artist and engraver, Jean-Baptiste Mercier. His design features a portrait of Emperor Pedro II on one side and the Brazilian coat of arms on the other. This coin was significant because it was the first time that a Brazilian coin featured the image of a Brazilian emperor, and it marked the beginning of a new era in Brazilian coinage.
