Comment

Benedikt "Beno" Kotruljević (Ita. Benedetto Cotrugli, 1416–1469) was a Ragusan merchant, economist, scientist, diplomat and humanist. Renowned in Croatia and worldwide; his seminal book The Art of Trading describes the nature and functioning of entrepreneurship and gives a full account of double-entry bookkeeping, which at present times still has a world-wide application.
