Interesting fact
The Fukuchiyama Domain, where this coin was minted, was a small feudal domain located in the mountains of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. Despite its small size, the domain was known for its rich silver deposits, which were used to mint this coin. In fact, the Fukuchiyama Domain was one of the largest producers of silver in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1867), and its silver coins were highly prized for their purity and quality.
